“Usually there are skeptics during the qualifying slam weeks. The 300 kids don’t play with anyone who is 250 that week and can earn 80 points. I think it’s like 25 points for the final round qualifiers. I mean, this is the story of tennis for a long time, for many different reasons. “I’m thankful I got into the third round of Wimbledon, to be honest. I would play Wimbledon with no points and no cash prize. At least I get the cash prize (smiling).”
