Police said officers were called to a building on Bloom Street in the city shortly after 5am on Wednesday. The boy was arrested on suspicion of rape and bailed pending further enquiries, Greater Manchester Police said. Police said the victim was being supported by specialist services and a number of lines of inquiry were being followed. Bloom nightclub issued a statement on Thursday saying it had closed “to allow for a full investigation”. He said: “Due to the seriousness of an incident that occurred at the club on Wednesday, Bloom Manchester will be closed pending a full investigation.”
