President Biden hastily concluded a press conference on Thursday, turning his back on reporters as he shouted questions and said, “I left here.” Biden answered many questions from a predetermined list of journalists during a press conference in Madrid, Spain, after the NATO Summit, before saying, “Okay guys,” and trying to get things done. Many journalists still wanted to ask questions and some in the crowd promised to be quick, but Biden closed it anyway. “There is no such thing as fast. I’m out of here,” Biden said as he left the podium as many journalists raised their hands. He initially advocated keeping the Senate in office when he took office, but was pressured to disclose any executive action he could take to ensure access to abortions nationwide. Biden replied that the only solution was to codify Roe v. Wade in Congress. “The main thing we need to do is make it clear how outrageous this decision was,” Biden said. “I think we need to codify Roe vs. Wade in the bill and the way to do that is to make sure Congress passes it.” BIDEN WHITE AVOIDS THE OVAL OFFICE FOR PRESS EVENTS IN PART, BECAUSE IT DOES NOT HAVE A TELEPHONE: REPORT He continued, “And if the filmmaker interferes, it’s like voting rights, we should demand an exception from the filmmaker for this action.” Biden had previously called on Congress to codify Rowe following the Supreme Court ruling on Friday, but had not called for the filmmaker to be fired. Biden had previously called for the measure in an attempt to pass an extensive review of the election law, which his government failed to do.
