The actress has been very active on Twitter over the past couple of days, lambasting the Supreme Court for overturning Roe v. Wade — mostly bashing Clarence Thomas, it seems — and in the same breath … talking about women’s rights . Emphasis on the first part. WOMEN OF THE WORLD! They are taking away our rights to our bodies, our lives and even our names! They don’t call us “women” anymore. They call us “people who give birth” or “menstruates” and even “people with vaginas”! While some may agree, others say it’s a false equivalency to compare trying to be trans sensitive/using careful language to what the GOP seems to be doing (abortion ban) … suggesting that one is clearly more serious and terrible threat from the other is. Either way, we know where Bette stands on the matter. She seems to be a very old feminist who is very angry about all this. One crisis at a time, though, maybe.
