Tottenham are monitoring the player while United are interested. The Gunners could lose if they don’t move quickly enough. There are other players Arsenal could target and there is no reason to panic just yet. But Arsenal could realistically start next season with the same defense and midfield they had for the majority of last season. Arteta will be hoping to have most of his business sewn up ahead of the pre-season tour of the USA later this month. That now looks unlikely to happen and the Spaniard may have to look for alternative targets if his first-choice options are not feasible.
