Part of the A14 near Bury St Edmunds is closed after a collision between a truck and a car. Police, firefighters and ambulances are currently at the scene of the accident, which closed the highway to the west. A Suffolk police spokesman said: “Officers are currently at the scene of the accident with a truck and a car. “The road to the west is currently closed and fire and ambulance crews are also at the scene.” The road is closed between junction 45, Black Thorpe junction and junction 44 at Bury St Edmunds, while emergency services are present at the crash. Four fire engines from Stowmarket, Bury St Edmunds and Elmswell stations have been dispatched to assist the scene. The extent of the injuries is not yet known. The Ambulance Service of the East of England has been approached for comment.
