A man was shot and killed in the parking lot of the Days Inn hotel on King George Avenue in Surrey Monday afternoon.

According to Surrey RCMP, officers were called to the hotel at 13373 King George Boulevard just before 5pm on a report of shots fired. When police arrived, they found a man in medical trouble who died a short time later despite efforts to revive him. A suspect in an older model silver Infiniti four-door sedan was seen leaving the scene. A short time later a burned out vehicle was located near 96th Avenue and 124th Street connected to the murder. Police do not have a description of the suspect and are asking for witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage that can help the investigation to come forward.
