An investigation began around 6 a.m. after the Los Angeles County Fire Department received a call from security who spotted someone in the water. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies and Inglewood police responded to the scene, and a dive team was called in to search the water. The fully clothed body of a 45-year-old man was pulled from the water just before 10am The lake is about 15 to 20 feet deep. Inglewood’s mayor later said it appeared the man had jumped multiple fences to get onto the property. The mayor doesn’t think SoFi could do anything to prevent that from happening. It is not known why the man was on the property or what exactly happened that led to his death. Copyright © 2022 KABC Television, LLC. All rights reserved.
