A large police presence, including around six police cars and a police van was in the Swan Street and St John’s Street area of the city. The road was also taped off between the St John’s multi-storey car park and the University of Northampton residences. An ambulance was also found at the scene.

Police on St John Street. Northampton on Friday night The tape was removed around 10.20pm. Police have not confirmed details about the nature of the incident, but responded on social media to someone who reported seeing a large fight in the area.
