IHIT said Eslahian was known to police and is calling the homicide a “targeted” killing, but not related to “an ongoing gang conflict in the Lower Mainland.” “To further identify witnesses and associates, the victim’s name is being released,” said BC RCMP Capt. David Lee. “A timeline of Mr. Eslahian’s movements is being constructed. IHIT investigators are looking to speak with Mr. Eslahian’s associates to determine his activities.”

Police are looking for dashcam or CCTV footage around the area, as well as any footage from Hastings Street and Lougheed Highway between 10pm on June 29 and 2am. of June 30.
