NBA free agency is underway and moving at a rapid pace. As of Thursday afternoon, teams and players could formally begin negotiations for new contracts. However, NBA fans did not have to wait that long for some important news. A few hours before the free Agency opened, Kevin Durant requested an exchange from the Brooklyn Nets. KD’s request is a surprise throughout the league and the existence of one of the best basketball players on the blockchain will dictate how many teams will operate this off-season. Zach LaVine and the Bulls agreed to a five-year, $215 million supermax deal to return to Chicago, while Bradley Beal inked a five-year, $251 million supermax deal with the Wizards. James Harden is still available, but is expected to re-sign with the 76ers. Also, Jalen Brunson reportedly agreed to a four-year, $104 million contract with the New York Knicks. Also, No. 1 overall pick Deandre Ayton could leave the Suns this summer. Hornets forward Miles Bridges, meanwhile, is a restricted free agent but was arrested in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
